About Us

The International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) is a vibrant Charismatic Christian church founded on February 26, 1984, in Accra, Ghana. What began with just 20 people meeting in a small classroom has grown into a global movement, committed to transforming lives through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

From its early days, ICGC placed a strong focus on building a Christ-centered community and raising leaders with integrity, excellence, and purpose. By 1986, the church had grown significantly and settled in the Baden Powell Memorial Hall, where membership expanded to over 4,000. This season also marked the beginning of active church planting, establishing congregations across Ghana, Europe, and the United States.

The original congregation, now known as Christ Temple, has directly planted over 40 churches in the Accra-Tema area alone. In 1988, ICGC furthered its commitment to leadership development by establishing a ministerial institute, which evolved into Central University, Ghana’s leading private university.

That same year, the church launched Central Aid, an educational scholarship scheme supporting thousands of underprivileged students. Today, it stands as the largest non-governmental scholarship program for pre-tertiary education in Ghana.

ICGC is not just a church but a movement with a mission—to bring hope, dignity, and excellence to communities. Through education, social impact, and spiritual growth, ICGC continues to raise leaders, transform lives, and make Christ known in every sphere of society.
